Plugging vent liner in flintlock?
Stripped a 5/16" dia. flash hole vent liner when installing in barrel of flintlock. How would be best to plug hole. Top of hole is on edge of barrel flat so can't go any higher at top.
Would very much like to get another 5/16" dia. into same hole..but if not possible plug with 5/16" dia. and use 1/4" dia. new vent liner.
Usually you wont strip the part in the barrel, but the other piece. You may be able to tap it out and use a helicoil to keep the 5/16 diameter.
